Don’t Let Bad Weather Ruin Your Day

bad weather happiness

It’s bad weather outside, such as rain, cold, snow, wind, or any other unpleasant conditions. For some people, this is enough to ruin their mood, especially if it has been happening for a long time (such as raining every day for over a week).

However, bad weather should not automatically mean that our day is ruined and we have to be unhappy. Happiness is a choice, and we can choose to be happy regardless of the weather or any other life circumstances.

In an ideal scenario, we should be able to cultivate happiness without any conditions. This means maintaining a high level of happiness regardless of what life throws at us. And while this may sound unrealistic and idealistic, it is something we should strive for, especially now that we know it is possible (and it is possible!).

Still, going back to the topic of bad weather, I use it as an example of something negative that occurs in people’s lives. However, bad weather can also be used to indirectly refer to any negative event that happens in our day-to-day lives. This could include things like running out of toothpaste, breaking a favorite teapot, or someone being unkind to us.

Yes, bad things will happen from time to time, just like bad weather. It is important to be realistic about these things and understand that they are a part of life.

Of course, good things will happen too, but many people tend to view themselves as victims of life events and believe that in an ideal world nothing bad should ever happen to them. Then, when unavoidably something bad does happen, they react dramatically and complain about how life is unfair.

The reality is that bad weather, or any other negative event, does not have to define our lives or keep us in a perpetual state of negativity. We should understand that there are varying degrees of “goodness” and “badness” in life, and bad weather is usually on the lower end of the scale. Instead, we should watch out for major negative events and try to prepare for them ahead of time.

We will after all experience aging, broken belongings, and people being rude to us. Just like we know it will rain, we can be certain that these things will occur. So why get angry or upset when they happen? Life is too short to be negative, and if given the choice, wouldn’t you rather feel happy?

Therefore, not letting bad weather ruin our happiness involves reducing our sensitivity to negative events. We should not let something as common as bad weather automatically make us suffer.

So, let’s learn about the science and art behind happiness without conditions, which you can do by learning the Optimal Happiness formula, so you can experience happiness today and forever.

Stay happy even if it rains!
