Psychoanalysis of Personal Sense of Well-Being

Psychoanalysis

Tonight I had a dream where I witnessed an alien invasion apocalypse. In it, a small group of survivors, including myself, were fighting for their lives, but losing. After waking up, I decided to psychoanalyse my dream.

Am I a Pessimist?

Just based on this information, some people would call me a pessimist, since I had a negative dream. In my defense, I never felt bad during this dream. Actually, I regularly experience going on adventures in my dreams, meaning that my dreams are regularly positively framed, which was also the case with this dream.

The Real Reason I Had This Dream

Many people see dreams as some random combination of information or some premonition about the future. Others, like me, see dreams as a way to understand the psychological well-being of a person’s mind. Specifically, dreams are the way our mind organizes information when we are sleeping.

The information in the dreams is linked to what happened in the last few days. Certainly, some dreams can take our mind as far as a few months, or rarely several years, but they are never completely random.

In my case, I was able to link my dream to a movie called The Tomorrow War (2021), which I saw one week ago.

The Real Takeaway of This Dream

Of course, I may have some real-life concerns which reveal themselves through my subconscious, such as some end of the world scenarios, which many people share with me. Simply said, today, we are made aware of many such end of the world scenarios, which keep people stressed and unable to sleep at night. Certainly, I share quite a few of these, which is why I wrote my book and was led to writing this blog.

Still, despite this ever-present negativity in our lives, different people choose to deal with this source of negativity differently. Some people just give up on the human kind, stating that we are just delaying the inevitable. This group of people often choose to act egotistically, trying to get as much as they can, as fast as possible.

Others try to do something about the state of the world. I write about positivity, which I believe to be able to change the way we live today, hence helping to save the world in the process.

Lastly, I believe that despite this constant negativity that we experience every day in our lives, we can be happy, unconditionally. In other worlds, we can feel negative emotions without suffering, and find our version of Optimal Happiness, and different sources of negativity without succumbing to it ourselves.

Stop Watching Horror Movies

One of my most famous ideas is that we need to stop watching horror movies if we want to be happy. Watching horror movies works in subtle ways, slowly affecting how we think and feel, making people stressed, distrusting, and negative. As such, simply eliminating these sorts of movies, we can remove this negativity from our lives, regaining confidence and happiness in the process.
